IMPLANT
Implantation of an implant is a procedure that allows us to restore a missing tooth/teeth without interfering with the patient’s natural dentition. Unlike bridges, which require grinding down adjacent teeth, the implantation technique enables us to create a single tooth replacement 1:1, addressing individual gaps.
The technology of implant placement involves inserting an artificial root, or dental implant, into the bone, followed by a healing and integration period with the bone, after which the prosthetic part—namely, the prosthetic crown—is made.
Integration of the implant with the bone:
In the maxilla, the integration time is about 6 months.
In the mandible, the integration time is about 3 months.
Does the procedure hurt?
The implant placement procedure is generally much less uncomfortable than tooth extraction and does not require any special preparation from the patient. However, if the attending physician decides to provide the patient with antibiotic protection, the patient will be informed in advance.
The implantologists at Boutique Dental tailor the types of implants to the needs of the patient. We work with SWISS TECHNOLOGY IMPLANTS backed by 20 years of experience and clinical research. This technology is one of the most innovative and advanced options for doctors who prefer to work with conditioned implants—implants that are immersed in a special solution just before placement in the oral cavity (at the patient’s chair), which increases surface tension, improves wettability, and accelerates blood absorption.
WE ALSO OFFER KOREAN IMPLANTS from one of the leading manufacturers of dental implants in the world.
THE IMPLANTS are made from high-quality titanium, safe and tailored to meet the requirements for long-term use by the patient. The conical, tapering shape allows for significantly greater space for bone regeneration at the site of the implant.
“SWISS implantology is a success story of collaboration between Swiss universities and the Swiss industry known for precision and innovation.”

PROSTHETICS on implants.
All parts of the implant system are based on the same connection: implant – abutment. The prosthetic components are universal for all lines of implants, which simplifies and reduces the number of tools needed.

Stages of Implantation Planning:
- Prosthetics are performed by a prosthodontist specializing in prosthetic restorations on implants, not by the surgeon.
Consultation with a surgeon – implantologist.
- Radiological imaging to determine the conditions allowing for the procedure (CBCT – tomography, panoramic X-ray).
Planning the date and time of the procedure.
- On the day of the procedure, the patient should arrive 15 minutes early to complete the necessary medical documentation required for the implantation procedures.
- Conducting the implantation procedure, including wound care and providing post-operative instructions.
- Post-operative checkup 7-10 days after the procedure – removal of stitches.
- After 3 months (for the mandible) or 6 months (for the maxilla), the patient returns for a visit to uncover the integrated implant and begin the prosthetic restoration.
Post-Operative Instructions:
- Sutures will be removed 7-10 days after the procedure.
- Avoid physical exertion for the next 5-7 days.
- Refrain from consuming hot and hard foods and beverages.
- Limit air travel and swimming activities.
- Maintain diligent oral hygiene, gently rinsing after 2 days post-procedure to avoid dislodging the blood clot.
- No smoking.
- Apply cold compresses as advised by the doctor.
- Take medications as prescribed by the surgeon.

What to Expect After the Procedure:
The procedure is always performed under anesthesia, so immediately after implantation, the patient feels nothing. Once the anesthesia wears off, the patient may experience discomfort or pain, which in most cases allows for daily functioning. However, this largely depends on the individual’s characteristics and is difficult to predict. More sensitive individuals may take pain relief medications as recommended by the surgeon.
In the first 24 hours post-procedure, when rinsing the wound with fluids, the patient may notice blood-stained saliva upon spitting. This is a normal symptom after the procedure and should not be a cause for concern. Mild swelling typically appears within the first day following the procedure and may last for about 2 days. The extent of swelling depends on the complexity of the procedure and the individual’s physiological characteristics.
Smoking is highly discouraged, primarily because inhaling cigarette smoke can create negative pressure that may dislodge the newly formed blood clot, which is essential for wound closure. Tobacco use can also lead to implant rejection and hinder its acceptance in the bone.
Contraindications for the Procedure:
- General poor mental and physical health of the patient.
- Patients with conditions such as untreated diabetes, osteoporosis, or blood clotting disorders.
- Poor oral hygiene that disqualifies the patient from the procedure.
- Periodontal diseases that disqualify the patient from the procedure.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Radio- and chemotherapy in patients with cancer.
- Dependency on alcohol, psychoactive substances, and cigarettes (may cause implant rejection).
Types of Restorations on Implants:
- Single Dental Crown – A simple and durable restoration that allows for the replacement of a single missing tooth.
- Bridge of Several Teeth on 2 Implants – This prosthetic work enables the restoration of several missing teeth. It is a durable and increasingly popular solution for patients who want a beautiful, functional, and aesthetic smile.
- Implant-Supported Denture – A removable solution that allows for the restoration of full dental arches, typically performed on a minimum of 2 implants, sometimes on 4 or 6 in the maxilla or mandible. The fundamental principle for creating such extensive work is the appropriate bone conditions in the implant patient—these are All on 4 or All on 6 procedures.
- Single Bridge on All on X Implants – A solution for patients wanting to restore a full dental arch permanently, without the need for removable dentures. The implantologist places 4 or 6 implants in the mandible or maxilla. After the integration of the implants with the patient’s bone, the prosthodontist can begin to create the final prosthetic work. During the healing period, the patient is provided with a temporary prosthetic restoration, tailored to their individual needs.

TOOTH EXTRACTION AND IMMEDIATE IMPLANTATION IN THE MISSING SPACE
Tooth extraction and immediate implantation – Your solution for missing teeth!
Why choose tooth extraction and immediate implantation?
- Quick and Effective Solution
Tooth extraction and immediate implantation is a process that allows for the swift replacement of a missing tooth. This way, you avoid the lengthy wait for a new implant and the associated inconveniences. - Minimal Bone Loss
Immediate implantation reduces the risk of bone resorption at the extraction site. When the implant is placed directly after tooth removal, it supports the natural healing process and preserves the bone structure. - Aesthetics and Functionality
Dental implants look and function like natural teeth. With them, you can enjoy a complete smile and comfort while eating and speaking. You won’t have to worry about dentures or other temporary solutions. - Shortened Treatment Time
By combining extraction and implantation in one procedure, you save time and reduce the number of visits to the dentist. Our team of specialists will ensure that the entire process runs smoothly and painlessly. - Individual Approach
Every patient is different, which is why we offer personalized treatment plans tailored to your needs and expectations. Our team of experienced dentists will provide you with full support and comfort throughout the entire process.
